Zilliacus appointed artistic director of the Korsholm Music Festival

Cecilia Zilliacus has been appointed for a three-year period beginning 1 October 2017. Henri Sigfridsson will remain artistic director through the 2017 festival.

"It's going to be incredibly fun to take on this task..." Cecilia Zilliacus says. "A lot of thoughts are spinning around in my head at the moment. We'll be presenting the theme for the 2018 festival at this summer's festival."

Zilliacus sees the Korsholm Music Festival as an important event on a personal level. She's a frequent vistior and performed at the festival for the first time already in 1997. She has returned as a musician at the festival several times since, most recently three years ago.

"It was the first music festival I attended and it has always been a natural part of my summer routines," Zilliacus says.
