More world premiere recordings of Amanda Maier’s (1853-1894) music! The first volume (2016) of this remarkable, Swedish-German composer, married to composer Julius Rontgen and close friend of Edvard Grieg, Johannes Brahms and other great musicians of the time, has been a great success. On Volume 2, Swedish leading violinist Cecilia Zilliacus and pianist Bengt Forsberg lovingly perform Maier’s beautiful violin sonata, and Nine pieces for violin and piano. Soprano Sabina Bisholt makes her CD debut with her interpretation of Maier’s great songs. World premiere recordings of 8 of the 17 tracks!
