Master Classes - Korsholm Festival

In Year 2019 the Korsholm Music Festival´s master classes are arranged from 24.7 – 29.7. Since the early years there has been a tradition of arranging master classes during the festival. Many of the musicians are professors in their own genre and are giving master classes around the world.

The goal of Korsholm Music Festival is to bring chamber music to the people in the region, but also to bring skills to students of music on a professional level. This year master classes are held in violin Cecilia Zilliacus and Annette von Hehn, cello Kati Raitinen and Stefan Heinemeyer, flute Anders Jonhäll, clarinet Jaan Bossier and bassoon Diego Chenna. The master class concert will be heöd 29.7, where the master class students will perform.

The Masterclasses are being held in the city center of Vaasa, in the Festival Center of the Festival or at city hall. Students receive individual tutoring in 3 sessions (3x60 minutes). One master class concert is scheduled in the Music Festival program at 29 of July
in Vaasa City Hall chamber Music Hall. The schedule may change.

Master class fee: 300 € / pers.
The fee includes free admission to the festival concerts, if seats available and lunch everyday of teaching.
